Where To Buy An Instant Pot In Australia

If you’re anything like me, you probably follow lots of food blogs or get bombarded with recipe and food ideas in your Facebook feed. It’s great to see all of the latest food crazes around the world, but sometimes it can get frustrating down here in Australia where we don’t always have access to ingredients and appliances discussed and used on American food blogs.

Case in point, the Instant Pot. For a number of years now I have watched on enviously as Americans make dish after dish of amazing looking food in a matter of minutes using their Instant Pots. At the time we had no access to them here in the land of Oz, so I actually went out and bought myself an Instant Pot alternative, the Tefal electric pressure cooker or Cook4Me.

The Tefal Cook4Me has been a huge asset to my kitchen, we cook rice and pasta in it all the time and its “Cook 4 Me” design has allowed my teenagers to easily cook meals in it too. But, while it’s a great device, I still had a hankering to get a real Instant Pot.

You know how it is when you see Instant Pot recipes you want to try so you try to adapt them to suit whatever cooking apparatus you have. If the results turn out less than perfect you’ll naturally assume it was because you didn’t use the right appliance.

The good news is….the Instant Pot is now finally available right here in Australia!

The good people from Instant Pot have even had the plug adapted to an Australian plug to suit our 240 volt electricity so there’s no need for an adapter.

More than just a pressure cooker, the Instant Pot is a 7-in-1 multi tasker. This amazingly clever device can be your:

Pressure Cooker
Amazon pressure cooker
Slow Cooker
Instant pot
Instant pot duo nova
Saute Pan
Instant pot australia
Food Warmer
The best instant pot
Rice Cooker
Instant pot 7 in 1
Yoghurt Maker
Best instant pot

So, you can put away your other appliances and make way for the clever Instant Pot!

Here in Australia you can buy the “Duo Nova” model of Instant Pot directly from and have it delivered to your door within a couple of days.

The “Duo Nova” is the latest model of Instant Pot, developed in 2019, and is considered a big upgrade in features compared with the original “Duo” model which was released in 2013. The Duo Nova is a lot easier for beginners to use as it seals the lid for you and includes a pressure release button as well as an LCD screen.

Which Instant Pot?

The Instant Pot comes in 3 sizes here in Australia:

The 3L model is the cute and compact model that has a capacity to suit 2-3 people.

The 5.7L model is probably the most common option with a capacity of feeding up to 6 people.

The 8L model is for those with big families or who like to entertain a lot, and has a capacity big enough to cook for 8 people.

Whichever size model you choose, I’d recommend grabbing an extra pot for your machine to so you can always have one on the go even if one is in the dishwasher.

Yes, another fantastic feature of the Instant Pot is the fact that the inner pot (where the food goes) is made of stainless steel and is therefore dishwasher safe. And dishwasher safe means less time spent doing the dishes so that will always be a win in my book!

Just imagine tender, fall off the bone chicken and fall apart pot roasts all cooked up to 70% faster than conventional methods. There’s even a free app for your smartphone or tablet that has over 1,000 recipes on it, so you’ll never be stuck for ideas on what to cook for dinner again!

Instant Pot App

What’s more, once you put the ingredients in and set it to cook, you can walk away and do something else and let the Instant Pot cook the dinner for you – no more slaving over a hot stove!

Sound too good to be true? The Instant Pot Duo Nova has over 70,000 positive reviews in the USA! Surely that many American’s can’t be wrong! It’s only been available here in Australia for a few months but, so far, over 140 Australian’s are loving it too, so there’s got to be something to love about this amazing kitchen appliance.

Breville Kitchen Wizz 11 Review

Speaking of advanced technology that makes our contemporary lifestyle more manageable, the convenience that food processors offer outdoes any personal cooking assistant.

But finding a reliable (and reasonable) food processor that’ll amaze you with multiple features isn’t as simple as it may seem. Anyhoo, we had recently tested the Breville Kitchen Wizz 11, and we were satisfied enough to suggest it to anyone looking for a low-budget food processor.

Tip: Check out our guide to the best food processor in Australia for 2020.

Breville Kitchen Wizz 11 Review

And in case you’re planning to buy one, here’s why you should give Kitchen Wizz 11 a try.

Breville Kitchen Wizz 11 Features

Here’s the essential set of features that make it worth everyone’s attention.

Quad Blades

It’s rather safe to say that this product straight up chops its competition, all thanks to its razor-sharp quad blades. It comes equipped with four edgy blades that can cut through vegetables with precision without losing consistency.

We’re also impressed with how well its blades work when it comes to processing meat in large quantities.

Induction Motor

Within such a bargain-basement budget, it’s fantastic how energy-efficient of a food processor the Kitchen Wizz 11 from Breville is! Its single-speed magnetic motor has been specially engineered to last for years to come, without malfunctioning.

Also, the induction motor runs at a maximum capacity of 1,000 watts, which makes cooking in large quantities easy as a cake.

Advanced Secondary Features

Its metal disc shafts are built with reinforced stainless steel, which assures a long-lasting product life. Furthermore, its intelligent design allows it to directly sit above the motor to acquire optimal balance and power.

Last but not least, the motor comes with an extended 10-year warranty period. So, the question here is – who wouldn’t want a reliable one-stop solution that makes chopping, slicing, grinding, and pureeing feel like a walk in the park?

What Could’ve Been Better?

Although this product comes equipped with a well-performing motor, we’re a little upset with how it overheats after being used for a while. Also, this product serves as a decent all-rounder when it comes to food processing, and that’s why it’s not as quick at chopping as typical meat/vegetable choppers.

Pros and Cons of Breville Kitchen Wizz 11

Here are some key pros and cons of the Kitchen Wizz 11:

  • Budget-friendly product
  • Built with reinforced stainless steel
  • Induction motor
  • 10-year warranty period

  • Overheating issues

How to Make Coffee

Sometimes a big cup of coffee is all you need to set the mood for the day, especially if you get Monday blues all week.

It won’t fix your life, but you’ll at least not zone out in all those meetings, which could have been an email. Also, in the process, you could end up saving more than a few dollars every month, which you’d otherwise spend on the local barista.
